I Am A Piece Of Art
You might think I’m just
a fifteen-year old girl
with brown hair
and brown eyes
But I know I am more
way more than that
not a Brain or a textbook
not a vacuum or a mirror
A piece of art
a misunderstood piece of art
people stare confused
or mislead
people try to define
or judge correctly
I am a piece of art misheard
an outcast from the rest of the world
stubborn to change
people outrage
wanting to cover me up
but when the spotlights turn on
my piece of art shines my true colors
staining life
affecting senses emotionally
and presenting new insight
I become a magnetic piece of art
with an army of colonist
attracting everyone to rebel
I begin spewing out paint swaps of ideas
I’m constantly going
until the day’s over
and then that’s when I’m covered up again
A conservative
I take in a breath and begin again
and again
and again
My passion to unconform
The brown-haired, brown-eyed girl
is a piece of art
a misleading,magnetic,stubborn piece of art
in all a days work
